CHEF LISA DENIEARS CILANTRO- LIME SAUCE

Chef Lisa, a very dear friend of mine, was kind enough to share this delicious recipe with the world. Thanks, Chef! This recipe is versatile and can be used as a condiment, marinade, or dressing. It can also be made ahead and frozen for up to 2 months. I highly encourage using this as a condiment for Collard Green Wraps or on a baked sweet potato with avocado slices.

Ingredients

MAKES ABOUT 1 CUP

  • 4 to 5 scallions green part only, roughly chopped
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • Zest of ½ lime about 1 teaspoon
  • Juice of 2 limes about ¼ cup
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 4 to 7 slices pickled jalapeño optional

Instructions

  • Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until well combined and smooth. Store in a glass container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 2 months.
