Golden Milk

Golden milk is a delicious beverage bursting with a wide range of benefits, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, digestive, immune-boosting, and brain health properties. Don’t skip the black pepper as this spice is a great way to increase the absorption and wonderful benefits of turmeric.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plant-based milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric or ½ teaspoon grated turmeric root
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger or 1 teaspoon grated ginger root
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Add milk through vanilla into a small saucepan and heat, whisking well to incorporate all ingredients. Once it is hot enough, remove it from heat and strain it into a mug with optional sweetener.
  • Tip: For a lightly frothy golden milk latte experience, use a milk frother in the pan before serving.
