Microalgae Superfood Bites

Plant-based Microalgae are rich in essential nutrients, such as proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. These bites make a great pre-, post-workout, or anytime snack.

Ingredients

🌱12 Medjool dates

🌱1/2 cup goji berries

🌱1/2 cup roasted seeds (I used pumpkin and white watermelon seeds)

🌱2 Tablespoons cacao powder

🌱3/4 cup puffed quinoa cereal

🌱2 Tablespoons ZivoLife microalgae powder

🌱3 Tablespoons tahini

🌱1/4 cup water

Instructions

👩🏻‍🍳In a food processor, add dates, goji berries, and roasted seeds. Process until coarse.

 

👩🏻‍🍳Transfer the mixture to a large bowl. Add cacao powder, quinoa cereal, ZivoLife powder, tahini, and water.

 

🤲Use your hands to incorporate the ingredients into a solid mixture. You may have to use a bit more water but it’s probably best to use your hands to work the mixture together. It should hold together but not be too sticky.

 

🤲Use your hands to roll a two-bite-sized ball and place it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

 

✨After several days, store in refrigerator or freezer for best results
